Lauer lands Spitzer interview

Former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer has agreed to give a live broadcast interview -- his first since his resignation -- to Matt Lauer, NBC said Friday.

Spitzer is to appear on Today Monday.

Spitzer, the hard-charging New York attorney general who then became the governor of New York, took down titans on Wall Street. Then he had his own well-documented fall from grace. He will talk to Lauer in his first broadcast interview since he resigned as governor, the network said in a news release.

The married politician left office last year after his relationship with a call girl became public.
