ABBA tribute bands mired in lawsuit

A Swedish woman who performs tributes to the disbanded pop band ABBA has been unfairly criticizing a rival tribute band, a New York lawsuit alleges.

The ABBA tribute band Waterloo alleges in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit that Victoria Norback, singer for the band Arrival from Sweden, has been offering untrue takes on Waterloo in a series of e-mails, the New York Post reported Sunday.

Waterloo is an unexperienced (sic) low-budget band that had only done small gigs (sic) in their native Sweden, and not played London's legendary Royal Albert Hall as had been advertised, Norback allegedly wrote in one of those e-mails.

Details regarding the New York litigation were not reported, including what damages are being sought by either side.
