Lumiere Place Names Philippe Trosch as Executive Chef

Chef Trosch Joins Lumiere Place from the World-Renowned Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, Florida

ST. LOUIS, April 14 /PRNewswire/ — Lumiere Place, the luxurious gaming complex in downtown St. Louis, today announced Chef Philippe Trosch has been named Executive Chef for Lumiere Place. Chef Trosch comes to Lumiere Place from the world-renowned Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, Florida, where he was an Executive Chef. He previously worked as Executive Sous Chef at the Inter-Continental Hotel in Caracas, Venezuela and Chef de Cuisine at The Vineyard Room in the Ritz-Carlton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Chef Trosch also served as Chef de Cuisine at Bernard’s in the legendary Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California and as Executive Chef for Loew’s Ventana Canyon in Tucson, Arizona where he achieved the prestigious AAA Five Diamond award for three straight years.

Chef Trosch attended culinary school in Normandy, France at 17. He has a degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel and Restaurant Management. He apprenticed at the Ritz Hotel in London and at the Michelin three-star restaurant Le Moulin de Mougins from super chef Roger Verge. Chef Trosch will serve as Executive Chef for the entire Lumiere Place complex.

The $507 million Lumiere Place includes a 75,000-square-foot casino with 2,000 slot machines, more than 45 table games, and a dedicated poker room. The resort boasts seven restaurants including two featuring the culinary creations of celebrity chef Hubert Keller: SLeeK steakhouse and ultra lounge, and Burger Bar which offers everything from fresh-ground basic hamburgers to versions with white truffles and foie gras.
