Oprah scraps Columbine episode

Oprah Winfrey says her TV show wouldn't air an episode intended to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the deadly Columbine High School shooting in Colorado.

Two teens killed 12 students, a teacher and themselves during a shooting spree at the Littleton, Colo., school April 20, 1999.

I decided to pull the Columbine show today, Winfrey said on her Web site Monday. After reviewing it, I thought it focused too much on the killers. Today, hold a thought for the Columbine community. This is a hard day for them.

TMZ said an episode about a mother being released from prison aired in place of the Columbine show.
