Mourning Travolta lays low in Tahiti
U.S. film star John Travolta spent the weekend alone at a luxury hotel in Tahiti because he needed to rest, a source said.
Travolta’s 16-year-old son Jett died in January of a seizure and the actor and his family have been keeping low profiles since.
People magazine said Travolta’s trip to Tahiti without his wife, actress Kelly Preston, and 9-year-old daughter, Ella, came just days after what would have been Jett’s 17th birthday.
Pulp Fiction star reportedly flew Saturday morning to Tahiti from Australia — where he and Preston had been staying — in his private 707 airplane and left the island Sunday night.
He told the hotel manager: ‘I don’t want to see anyone. I only want to rest,’ a source told People.com, adding that the actor posed for a quick photo with three tourist bureau greeters before he departed.
He is still in mourning about his son, another source said.
This is not easy and everyone has their own process. He’s always there for his family but he is still healing.
