BarCampLA-7 to be Held at OTX Los Angeles Headquarters on May 2nd and 3rd, 2009.

LOS ANGELES, April 24 /PRNewswire/ — Today OTX gladly announced that it will donate the use of its Los Angeles headquarters office space to host the innovative “unconference” BarCampLA-7 during the weekend of May 2 and 3, 2009.

This year’s BarCampLA-7 is shaping up to include several hundred participants from Southern California, with presentation topics ranging from cloud-computing and Silverlight to social media and effecting social change.

BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences, formed ad-hoc for people to share and learn in an open environment and characterized by intense discussions, demos and interaction from the attendees. Conference content is provided by attendees who each must present or facilitate a session and share information and experiences of the event after the fact using all available web 2.0 tools. The first BarCamp was held in Palo Alto in August of 2005, and have since been held in over 350 cities around the world.
