Harrah's New Orleans Hosts the Total Rock, Total Rewards Rock Band(R) Regional Competition on April 30th

NEW ORLEANS, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- After weeks of battling for Rock immortality at Total Rewards resorts across the Central Region, five bands have won the chance to go head-to-head at The Total Rock, Total Rewards Rock Band(R) regional championship hosted by Hip-Hop icon and MTV News Correspondent Sway Calloway at Harrah's New Orleans on Thursday, April 30th at 9 p.m. Free and open to the public, this regional competition will determine which local band will join the three other winning bands, one from each regional competition across the country, in Atlantic City on May 8th to enter to compete for the championship title. The ultimate winning band will be given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to open for the legendary B-52's at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on May 9th and will win $10,000 in prize money, making this the richest Rock Band competition in history.

Throughout the night, there will be prize giveaways for audience members, including Rock Band merchandise, Rock Band software games and other prizing. Five lucky guests will win the limited edition Rock Band Unplugged branded PSP Entertainment Pack. The bundle will include the game, a voucher to download Paramount Pictures' School of Rock from PlayStation(R)Store, a 4GB Memory Stick PRO Duo(TM), and a "Piano Black" PSP system. The Rock Band Unplugged and the limited edition bundle will be available in North America on June 9th for $199.99 (MSRP). Featuring 41 hit songs, including 9 tracks exclusive to the PSP, Rock Band Unplugged also features the first in-game store for PSP, so you can download new tracks whenever you want.
