Michael Jackson’s former representative and an actress who appeared in the iconic 1983 Thriller music video are suing the U.S. pop star.

The 50-year-old recording artist, who has not performed a full show since 1998, recently announced plans to perform 50 live, sold-out concerts at London’s O2 Arena, starting in July.

The Times of London said Raymone Bain, Jackson’s ex-publicist and personal business manager, is suing the singer in Washington for $44 million.

Unfortunately, Mr. Jackson has elected not to honor the financial obligations of our contractual relationship despite my numerous attempts to amicably resolve this matter. I am sincerely disappointed in Mr. Jackson’s failure to honor his obligations, Bain said in a statement.

Jackson is reportedly also being sued in a Santa Monica, Calif., court by Ola Ray, the actress who played his girlfriend in the Thriller video. Ray claims she didn’t get a fair share of the royalties for her part in the hit clip.

The Times said Jackson’s current spokesman, Tohme K. Tohme, did not return its calls for comment on the lawsuits.
