Hundreds of Funeral Homes, Cemeteries Collect Recipes and Memories, Raise Donations for Feeding America
Does the aroma of grandma’s fresh-baked cookies stir up a special memory for you? How about a comforting taste of your favorite soup? Do you wish these soothing food memories could be captured and shared with others? That’s just what the Second Helpings Program is doing.
These facilities are collecting the favorite recipes and culinary memories of loved ones for their Second Helpings cookbook, available for purchase in the fall of 2009. For every recipe received, Simplicity Plan(R) providers across the country will make a monetary donation to Feeding America.
