Beverly Hills Hosts an 'Affaire' of Artistic Proportions

In 36th Year 'Affaire in the Gardens' Grows; Welcomes "Green Artists"

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The City of Beverly Hills once again showcases its artistic side by welcoming over 250 artists from around the world. The City's free "Affaire in the Gardens" Art Show takes place on May 16th and 17th 2009 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Since 1973, "Affaire in the Gardens" has drawn a wide-range of artists and exhibitors, featuring collections in painting, sculpture, watercolors, photography, mixed media, ceramics, jewelry, drawings and printmaking. The two-day event, one of the most popular art show events on the West Coast, takes place at Beverly Gardens Park, a lush expanse adjacent to Santa Monica Boulevard, between Rodeo and Rexford Drives.

Live jazz music will play and dining at the popular Wine Garden will feature a delectable selection of gourmet food and California wines. Families are encouraged to explore the "Avenue of Art," a dedicated area where children are immersed in artistic expression. A demonstration by eco-friendly "green artists" is also planned.

Admission is free. Parking is available at several nearby City parking lots.
