SALEM, Mass., May 13 /PRNewswire/ — What better way to create a great private media company than to bring on those who know media publishing best? That’s the view at King Fish Media, which today announced the hiring of media veteran Elizabeth Mitchell Hunt. She will work as Manager of Strategic Accounts, alongside King Fish CEO Cameron Brown and VP, Sales Brad Ketchum. She will be responsible for new business development, particularly among B2C companies.

Most recently, Mitchell Hunt served as a consultant to Salem’s Peabody Essex Museum, where she achieved record-breaking advertising and sponsorship sales for the museum’s annual antiques show in 2006 and brought fresh energy, big ideas and strategic thinking to special exhibition projects.

Prior to this, Mitchell Hunt was a Director of Special Projects for Conde Nast Corporate, a division responsible for 80% of the company’s revenue. There she oversaw the strategic and creative development of custom, integrated marketing programs for top advertisers that leveraged the assets of all Conde Nast magazines and Web sites for campaigns that included special advertising sections, large scale events, cable programming, co-branded micro sites and publicity as well as in-book, online and retail promotions. Before moving to Corporate, Mitchell Hunt was Director of Special Projects for Gourmet magazine. In addition to her work in print media, Mitchell Hunt has extensive experience in television. As Director of Marketing and Promotion for Martha Stewart Living television, she oversaw the launch of Martha Stewart Living Everyday in 1997.

Mitchell Hunt received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also studied Art History and Italian in Florence, Italy on a University of Michigan program. She currently resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts with her husband and two children. She is a native of Newton, Massachusetts.
