VIZIO Announces Grand Opening of a New Customer Service Based Sales and Support Center in North Sioux City, South Dakota

IRVINE, Calif. and NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D., May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- VIZIO, America's Fastest Growing HDTV and Consumer Electronics Company, announced today the May 14th Grand Opening of its VIZIO Sales and Marketing Center in North Sioux City, South Dakota. The event will be attended by South Dakota Governor Michael Rounds, as well as local officials including North Sioux City Mayor Don Fuxa, and key VIZIO executives and investors, among them VIZIO Founder and CEO/CTO William Wang and VIZIO investor and former Gateway CEO Ted Waitt.

The call center facility, created to meet the increased customer support and direct sales requirements driven by VIZIO's meteoric growth rate, will focus on products and services offered through the VIZIO.com website, including television accessories and extended warranties. The office is located at 606 Gateway Drive, Suite 200, North Sioux City, SD 57049.

The ribbon cutting ceremony with Governor Rounds will take place at approximately 4:30 PM. Prior to the ribbon cutting; key VIZIO executives and investors will be available for questions from the press and a brief tour of the facility.

At the celebration, Governor Rounds will be joined by members of his Business Development staff, Don Fuxa, Mayor of North Sioux City; Kory Menken, Executive Director, North Sioux City EDC; William Wang, VIZIO Founder and CEO/CTO; Ted Waitt, VIZIO investor and former Gateway CEO; Dave Russell, VIZIO investor and former Gateway Executive; Laynie Newsome, VIZIO Co-founder, VP Sales & Marketing Communications; Rob L. Brinkman, VIZIO Vice President, Operations and Administration; Bart Brown, VIZIO Direct, Senior Director.

The facility will initially employ a staff of 25, including 5 managers, and is expected to grow to employ 45 sales agents plus management by the end of 2009. Many of the staff are former Gateway employees, whose sales and technical knowledge make them uniquely qualified to provide the level of support needed for VIZIO's range of HDTVs and electronics.
