Media Accreditation for Los Angeles Marathon XXIV Now Available

LOS ANGELES, May 14 /PRNewswire/ — The 24th edition of the Los Angeles Marathon, accompanied by the Acura L.A. Bike Tour and the L.A. Marathon 5K Run/Walk, will be held on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2009, beginning at 7 a.m.

Media accreditation is required for admission to the Marathon media workroom at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Friday, May 22-Sunday, May 24 and to the race-day media center at the Taper Auditorium of the Los Angeles Central Library. Application for accreditation is simple and requires only a brief electronic-mail message to be sent as shown below.

News media who wish to apply for media accreditation for the Marathon, need only send a short message to rperelman@perelman-pioneer.com with the name of the media organization represented, name and function. Here is an example of a correctly-formatted application message:

You may also add any special requests, such as for a seat on the photo truck, for special parking for ENG vans on raceday, or that you will be filing from the Library on raceday and need a tabled seat, to your application message if desired.

We must receive application messages not later than 5 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time on Monday, May 18. Applicants will receive a confirmation or denial of accreditation within 24 hours. Credential pick-up will begin on Friday, May 22, in room 301A of the Los Angeles Convention Center, above the South Hall.
