Jason Rogers Appointed Senior Editor in Asia Pacific Region for Dow Jones Newswires

NEW YORK, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Dow Jones today announced that Jason Rogers has been appointed senior editor for Dow Jones Newswires in the Asia Pacific region. Based in Singapore, Mr. Rogers will assume the role June 1, 2009, and will lead Dow Jones Newswires editorial operations in the region.

Since 2007, Mr. Rogers has served as editor overseeing news coverage in the Asia Pacific region. In that role, he has supervised the region's managing editors for equities, money, commodities, energy and markets, as well as the bureau chiefs of Australia, New Zealand, Japan and South Korea. Mr. Rogers moved to Singapore in 2004 from London, where he was senior news editor for European, Middle Eastern and African (EMEA) equities. He joined Dow Jones Newswires in 1996 as a commodities reporter in London and was later promoted to the position of managing editor for EMEA equities before becoming senior news editor.

Jason is a graduate of St. Hughs College, Oxford, and holds an M.A. in Japanese studies from Essex University, U.K., and Dokkyo University, Japan.

Mr. Rogers succeeds Gabriella Stern, who will move to the U.S. to take up the newly created position of senior editor, global news coverage, for Dow Jones Newswires.
