Morgan Creek Productions Hosts Annual VIP Brunch at Moulin de Mougins During the 62nd Festival de Cannes

CANNES, France, May 19 /PRNewswire/ — Morgan Creek Productions, one of the leading independent production entities in the film business today, hosted their international film distributors and bankers yesterday at their annual Cannes brunch, located at the historic Moulin de Mougins restaurant in Cannes, France.

Hosted by James G. Robinson and Morgan Creek International, stars of the occasion included directors Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, the upcoming true-crime drama Scarpa) and Jim Sheridan ( My Left Foot, the upcoming thriller Dream House) along with Morgan Creek co-chair Rick Nicita and his wife, producer Paula Wagner (Mission: Impossible) and producer Irwin Winkler (Rocky). Other guests included international distributors Kiyoshi Watanabe (CEO – GAGA America), Salim Ramia (Gulf Film), Allan Hansen (CEO – Nordisk Film) and Rasmus Ramstad (President-CEO Svensk Filmindustri).

The cuisine was a sumptuous mix of omelets, soups fraiches, different kinds of salmon, and fruit sorbet prepared by the famed French chef Sebastian Chambru.

The Moulin de Mougins is a celebrated restaurant situated in an abandoned mill (moulin) in the inland French Riviera town of Mougins. Founding chef Roger Verge made the restaurant’s name renowned with his novel and light Cuisine de Soleil. In a bewitching frame which opens on the outside with its gardens and Provencal restanques, the works of some of the biggest contemporary artists are next to the signatures of celebrities of yesterday and today.
