Cox, Heaton & Grammer land new ABC shows
ABC said in New York Tuesday its 2009-10 primetime schedule will include new series called Cougar Town,
The Deep End
and Eastwick.
Also on the lineup are Flash Forward,
The Forgotten,
Hank,
Happy Town,
The Middle,
Modern Family,
Shark Tank
and V.
The various shows mark returns to television for Courteney Cox, Rebecca Romijn, Lindsay Price, Kelsey Grammer, Amy Acker, Dean Winters, Sam Neill, Patricia Heaton, Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen and Elizabeth Mitchell.

Castle,
Scrubs
and True Beauty
are to join previously announced returning series America’s Funniest Home Videos,
The Bachelor,
Brothers & Sisters,
Dancing with the Stars,
Desperate Housewives,

E! News pointed out In the Motherhood,
The Unusuals,
According to Jim,

and Samantha Who?
did not make the programming list for next season.
Stephen McPherson, president of ABC Entertainment Group, outlined ABC’s plans for next season before the advertising and media communities at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan Tuesday.
Our focus is always on delivering the best stories with the most memorable characters on TV, whether that’s established audience favorites or innovative new shows,
McPherson said. This year, we’ve got the best of both. We’re headed into the season with a strong slate of returning series, as well as great new shows from one of our best development seasons ever.
