AMD Partners with CGDC and Advances into China's Game Industry

BEIJING, May 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- AMD recently announced that it would, as a diamond sponsor, get actively and deeply involved in the 2nd China Game Developers Conference (CGDC), to share its leading technologies with China's game industry.

As a leading supplier of game computing platforms, AMD not only provides gamers with the ultimate experience of "AMD GAME!", built on its 3A platform (with AMD processor, AMD chipset and AMD graphics), but also has provided technology development support for game companies. AMD, working as the diamond sponsor of the 2nd China GDC, revealed its strategy to enhance cooperation with China game developers and provide the advantages in platform technologies to support the growth of China's game industry.

The Deputy Chief-secretary of the Organizing Committee of CGDC, Han Zhihai remarked, "We have been trying to make CGDC a game technology summit that has an international standing and the sponsorship of AMD, as a top technology and hardware supplier in the world, will greatly assist in the internationalization of the event. Of course, we believe that the quickly growing game industry in China will attract the participation and support of more and more international companies and organizations."

The 2nd CGDC, which is supported by various Chinese authorities of the game industry here, will be held at the Shanghai International Convention Center on July 24-26, 2009. The conference has already announced the 47 public topics to be discussed over a period of three days and is now soliciting speeches. CGDC welcomes game professionals from China and abroad and will serve as a platform for game companies to display their products and technology, as well as exchanging experience in R&D.

The CGDC has started its audience registration and all participants who register by June 10 are entitled to a 10% discount.
