New Chapter Publisher Picks TransMedia to Publicize Its Acclaimed Titles and Colorful Founder, Piero Rivolta

Posted on: Tuesday, 26 May 2009, 04:30 CDT

SARASOTA, Fla., May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- New Chapter Publisher (www.newchapterpublisher.com), the literary enterprise of Italian industrialist poet Piero Rivolta, has optioned TransMedia Group to disseminate the public relations story of its lettered leap into the front ranks of publishing.

A rising star in its field, New Chapter's titles are receiving industry acclaim, including recognition by Florida Publishers Association for Rivolta's own novels that so poignantly explore the human condition, said Kim Morgan, Senior Vice President at TransMedia Group (www.transmediagroup.com).

Rivolta said he selected TransMedia Group to represent his growing publishing business because of the firm's vast international experience in promoting books and authors.

"I was impressed that TransMedia's founder, Tom Madden, not only is a former VP of NBC, but an accomplished author himself," Rivolta said. "As soon as I heard our account would be handled by Kim Morgan, and learned of her publishing experience as a former publicist at such renowned publishers as Bantam Books, William Morrow, Ballantine and John Wiley, we decided TransMedia was our PR firm." Morgan managed publicity campaigns for bestselling celebrities and authors including Elmore Leonard, Charles Grodin, Richard Chamberlain, and Chefs Jacques Pepin, Paul Prudhomme, Barbara Kafka and Martin Yan.

Among the news TransMedia will first publicize is that three New Chapter titles have been selected as winners and finalists by the 2009 Next Generation Indie Book Awards, which recognizes excellence in small press publications, including a collection of poetry, a coffee table book on jazz, and a memoir.

"Ci divertiremo molto (translation: 'we're going to have a ball') promoting Rivolta's New Chapter Publisher," said Madden, whose wife Angela, TransMedia's CFO, is a native of Italy herself. "Rivolta is not only an accomplished author, but has a personal history that rivals Ernest Hemingway's," he added, citing that the Milan, Italy native took control of his family's business, the Iso corporation, at the tender age of 24. The company is renowned for producing the famous front-door bubble car, the Isetta, as well as the luxury Isorivolta sports cars.

In 1980, Rivolta brought his family to Sarasota, where he developed some of the area's largest residential communities and founded Rivolta Yachts. New Chapter Publisher was founded as a new venture in Sarasota by Rivolta in 2007.
