Kane, Stahl to guest star on ‘SVU’
Carol Kane and Nick Stahl have signed up for guest spots on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,
NBC said Tuesday.
They will appear in the June 2 season finale of the show, executive producer Neal Baer announced.
She will reprise her role as Gwen Munch, the ex-wife of Detective John Munch, played by Richard Belzer, who last appeared with him in an episode of NBC’s Homicide: Life on the Street
in 1997.
In addition, Stahl guest-stars as Peter Harrison, a once promising young artist who is now lost in the paranoia of mental illness. Fearing SVU detectives are persecuting him, he turns on them after he may have murdered an innocent young mother, NBC said in a news release.
We’re thrilled to have Gwen Munch return to her true love, Detective John Munch, to help lead him to a deranged killer, who is after a member of the SVU family,
Baer said in a statement.
Kane won two Emmy awards for her role as Simka in Taxi.
Her other television credits include Two and a Half Men,
Seinfeld,
Pearl,
Brooklyn Bridge
and Chicago Hope.
She also appeared in the films
Annie Hall,
Dog Day Afternoon,
The Princess Bride,
Scrooged
and The Pallbearer.
Stahl starred in the HBO drama series Carnivale.
His film credits include Sleepwalking,
Quid Pro Quo,
Sin City,
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines
and The Man Without a Face.
