Heritage Media Announces Jump in Business for Its Screen Giant Mobile Services Division

June 1, 2009

CALGARY, Canada, June 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Heritage Media Corporation (Pink Sheets: HMCP) today announced that the mobile division of its North American operating subsidiary, Screen Giant Media Corporation, continues to exceed expectations with the appearance of its LED video billboards at numerous concerts, rodeos and outdoor festivals.

CEO John Manolescu commented, “In response to a clear increase in demand for our mobile services, we are now negotiating significant new mobile placement opportunities, including the 2010 Winter Olympics. We have a track record of solid performances in many venues, including three years at the Calgary Stampede, where millions of people viewed our displays.”

Manolescu added, “Screen Giant Media offers the highest-quality screens in the country, carrying 10,000 nits of brightness. That should serve us well as we seek to aggressively grow this segment of our business.”

About Digital Billboards

The billboard industry now counts 450,000 traditional, static-message billboards in place throughout the U.S. They are seen in all venues and come in many sizes. Variable-message digital billboards, which carry content uploaded via the Internet, are the new kids on the block, representing less than 1% of current installed billboard infrastructure. They are highly attractive to advertisers, who can now convey multiple customized marketing messages on one digital display, varying their content according to season, day of the week and time of day. For billboard owners, digital displays are proving to be huge profit boosters, with one display typically showing ads for seven or more companies every month. Industry experts expect substantial growth in digital billboard placements for many years to come.
