Deloitte Named a 2009 Best Company for Multicultural Women by Working Mother

Honored for Fourth Consecutive Year

NEW YORK, June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth consecutive year, Deloitte has been named one of the best organizations in the United States for multicultural women by Working Mother magazine. The annual ranking salutes the top 20 U.S. companies for their commitment to workforce diversity and inclusion.

Barbara Adachi, national managing principal for Deloitte LLP's award-winning Initiative for the Retention and Advancement of Women (WIN), is featured in the magazine's profile on Deloitte. Adachi joined Deloitte 19 years ago and in 1995 became the first Asian-American female principal in the firm's San Francisco office. Adachi lives in San Francisco with her husband and has a 26-year-old daughter.

Deloitte was also well regarded for its mentoring programs at community colleges with heavily multicultural populations.
