NBC U and Hallmark expand card deal
NBC Universal has signed a pact giving Hallmark Cards Inc. use of its past, current and future slate of film and TV product, NBC announced in Los Angeles.
The deal expands upon a previously existing partnership and includes film properties from Universal Partnerships & Licensing and TV properties from the NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group, the statement said.
The agreement allows Hallmark exclusive access to the extensive NBC News archives for e-greetings.
The announcement was made Monday by Stephanie Sperber, executive vice president of Universal Partnerships & Licensing, and Kim Niemi, senior vice president of NBC Universal Television, DVD, Music and Consumer Products Group.
Universal and Hallmark have enjoyed a great partnership for many years, and our alliance brings the partnership to a new level of commitment, Sperber said in a statement.
By drawing on our incredible library and amazing line-up of new films, Hallmark customers will now be able to express themselves through the most unforgettable moments from their all-time favorite movies.
The expanded partnership gives millions of consumers new ways to celebrate meaningful occasions and include their favorite television shows and movies, Mitchell-Layton, Hallmark vice president of licensing, said.
This aligns with our company’s purpose of enhancing relationships and enriching lives.
