Bret Michaels hurt during Tonys show
Bret Michaels’ publicist confirmed the rocker and reality TV star was hurt when he ran into scenery while performing at the Tony Awards show in New York.
The incident occurred as Michaels sang with his band Poison, along with the cast of Broadway’s
Rock of Ages, at Sunday night’s prize presentation at Radio City Music Hall, People.com said.
The musician reportedly missed his mark, hit a piece of scenery and fell to the ground.
His representative told People.com while Michaels was
getting X-rays, he is
a trooper and still had hoped to drop by some Tonys after-parties.
The rocker’s spokeswoman also denied reports he suffered a broken nose in the mishap and emphasized he
had a blast performing.
The 63rd annual Tony Awards honored the best on Broadway during the 2008-09 season.
