57th & Irving Productions Named One of Realscreen's Global 100 Production Companies of 2008

New York-based production company is included in Realscreen's fourth annual report of the world's most influential production companies

NEW YORK, June 8 /PRNewswire/ --- 57th & Irving Productions, a Manhattan-based production company, is among Realscreen's 2008 Global 100. The industry magazine's Global 100 was released after months of compiling input from their readers. The list, featuring the best of the best in production companies, is published annually and highlights influential production companies from around the world.

57th & Irving Productions was given the honor for their documentary American Teen. The film, directed by Nanette Burstein, won the award for best director at the Sundance Film Festival 2008. The film, which was set in Warsaw, Indiana, follows five teenagers through their senior year of high school. The San Francisco Chronicle's Mark LaSalle writes that American Teen "shows how a documentary can be as moving and suspenseful as the best narrative feature." The film was purchased at Sundance by Paramount Vantage and was released nationwide July of 2008.

In addition to American Teen, 57th & Irving Productions also recently released The Cake Eaters, starring Twilight's Kristen Stewart, and is currently in post-production on their fifth feature film.

57th & Irving Productions, located in midtown-Manhattan was founded by Patrick Morris and the Morris family in September 2005. The company is currently in post-production on its fifth feature film.
