Television actor John Amos is to debut his country single We Were Hippies at The ABC Block Party, which is part of 2009 CMA Music Week in Nashville.

Amos is best known for his roles on TV’s Roots, Good Times, The West Wing and Men in Trees.

The actor is to perform his song, which was produced by the Cash family, in public and live Sunday afternoon at Jefferson’s Restaurant and Hall.

Joining Amos on stage will be new R&B sensation Chris-Tian and country artists Rachel Lipsky and Therese Marie.

We are excited about hosting this incredible debut here at our venue where the people of Nashville can come and meet these great stars, Will Bright, president of Jefferson’s Restaurant and Hall, said in a statement.

Cash Music Group said Amos is expected to meet and greet fans, and sign autographs after the performance, as well.
