World Premiere of the California Bonzing Company: Creating a Unique and Creative Forum for All Skateboarders

Posted on: Thursday, 18 June 2009, 10:11 CDT

A new skateboard, film, and t-shirt line all push the boundaries of conventional skateboard expression by delivering a new level of creativity and design

SAN FRANCISCO, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Inspired by skateboarding, the California Bonzing Company introduces a new forum for skateboarding creativity by producing a line of skateboards, short films, and t-shirts that capture the inventive and artistic spirit of the skateboarding community. Unlike other companies, the team at California Bonzing Co. rides different sized and shaped boards to pursue the new growing movement, Bonzing. To Bonz is to explore your own individual style, and Bonzing is taking your own style to the absolute extreme. The California Bonzing Co. draws on these ideas to motivate, create, and give back. Austin Graziano of The California Bonzing Co. tells us "Bonzing is about doing what you love to the extreme -- for us, that's skateboarding."

The California Bonzing Co.'s premiere skateboard, Stijl, is a cutting edge board inspired by the Dutch art movement De Stijl -- meaning "the style" in Dutch. The artwork is contemporary and distinctive with a fresh edge to ensure a unique design and feel for each board. It's crafted with a unique convex shape that provides effortless turning and ultimate stability at gonzo downhill speeds. Graziano says about the board, "The skateboards we used to ride were not satisfying our needs. We needed a board that could skate any hill and is light enough to carry around so we shaped the Stijl. The convex shape provided luxurious space for tight carving and gave us the balance and control at high speeds." These boards are available for purchase at www.CaliforniaBonzing.com.

The California Bonzing Co.'s new "Twin Peaks Edition" film features the largest hills in San Francisco, as the California Bonzing Co. skateboarder Jacob Marx rides a vintage 1970's all original, 18 in. long/4 in. wide, California FreeFormer skateboard. These videos articulate and encourage the Bonzing movement.

Their new line of t-shirts is also available, featuring the artwork of Austin Graziano and are made of the finest cotton to ensure a comfortable ride. The Greatest of All Time and the CBC Company t-shirts are also available for purchase at www.CaliforniaBonzing.com.

The California Bonzing Company was started in 2006 with the primary objective of supporting local skateboard artists. In 2007 they released their first set of videos: "Sausalito", "Freshly Pressed", and "The Glory Hole". In 2008, "The Cliff House" video was released, and they hosted a half pipe and barbecue at San Francisco's City Hall to support the building of local skate parks. In 2009, the business expanded to provide a line of t-shirts and the skateboard Stijl, along with the production of the "Twin Peaks Edition" film.
