Battle Strikers North American Turbo Tour hits the ground-spinning today – Watch out for MEGA Brands’ Battle Strikers vans in a city near you this summer

MONTREAL, June 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ – Today marks MEGA Brands’ (TSX: MB) official kick-off of its North American promotional “Turbo Tour”, launching its hottest toy of the year, Battle Strikers.

Starting at MEGA Brands corporate office today and going on until August 22 in major cities around North America, MEGA Brands is hitting the streets to introduce the next generation of battling tops. Battle Strikers require no ripcords or pull strings and feature the first innovation in battling tops in over 50 years. The ‘Strikers’ are revved up through the Turbo Launcher before being released and then for the very first time kids can guide and control the tops for an intense battling experience.

The North American Turbo Tour will consist of five tour vans loaded with 10 brand ambassadors who will travel to key areas throughout Canada and the United States to get Battle Strikers in kids’ hands for the first time. Throughout the tour, brand ambassadors will hold promotional tournaments to determine the ultimate champion in each location, as well as handout branded giveaways including stickers, tattoos, posters and much more.

The official kick-off event for the Battle Strikers Turbo Tour will take place today, June 19, at the MEGA Brands head office on 4505 Hickmore, Montreal between 12:30 and 1:30 pm.
