Lambert’s single ‘Want’ released on iTunes

Want, the new single by American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert, went on sale Tuesday on iTunes, Hi Fi Recordings said.

The song is from a full album called On with the Show, which is to be released by Hi Fi Recordings/Wilshire Records this summer.

Lambert co-wrote most of the songs on the CD.

‘On with the Show’ is drenched in Lambert’s signature sound and style, the record label said in a news release Tuesday. It is part of the more than two albums’ worth of material he recorded with production and publishing company Wilshire Records over the course of their three-year relationship. Before any other major entity, producer Malcolm Welsford and his independent label, Wilshire, recognized Lambert’s musical gift and nurtured and supported his development.
