Lambert: 'Show' doesn't reflect new style

American Idol
star Adam Lambert said music he recorded in 2005 that is to appear on the CD On with the Show
in no way reflects
what he's working on now.
Hi Fi Recordings/ Wilshire Records released a single from the forthcoming album Tuesday on iTunes.
The record label has said music from the CD was recorded during what it described as Lambert's three-year-long relationship with the company. Hi Fi also said the Season 8 American Idol
runner-up wrote the majority of the songs in the collection, which is set for release this summer.
Back in 2005, when I was a struggling artist, I was hired as a studio singer to lend my vocals to tracks written by someone else,
Lambert said in a statement to MTV News. I was broke at the time and this was my chance to make a few bucks, so I jumped at the opportunity to record for my first time in a professional studio. The work I did back then in no way reflects the music I am currently in the studio working on. I'm thrilled to be working with some of today's hottest songwriters and producers and can't wait for people to hear what my music really sounds like.
MTV News said neither Lambert nor 19 Entertainment, the label handling the singer's post-Idol
career, are taking steps to stop the release of On with the Show.
It was announced earlier this month that Lambert had been signed to 19 Recordings and licensed to RCA Records. His debut album on that label is set for release this fall.
