It will take place in the Senate Dirksen Building, Room 106 at 9:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. ET in Washington, D.C. The hearing, led by Senator Susan Collins (R-ME), is part of JDRF's Children's Congress, the largest grassroots advocacy event held in support of finding a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Professional figures with diabetes, including renowned concert musician Alisa Weilerstein, Miss Black USA 2007 Kalilah Allen-Harris, and NFL player Jared Allen of the Minnesota Vikings were also on hand to share inspirational stories in a Town Hall session with the kids.
