Waters Spotlights ACQUITY UPLC, a Driving Force Moving the Analytical Science Industry Forward at HPLC 2009

Additionally, Waters published two new academic-quality books: The Quest for Ultra Performance in Liquid Chromatography; Origins of UPLC Technology and UltraPerformance Liquid Chromatography; a Technology Primer, both of which provide insight to this disruptive technology and document the overwhelming impact of ACQUITY UPLC on analytical chemistry.

This volume presents a brief review of the origin and history of liquid chromatography, showing how early the concepts of ultra performance were recognized and how many decades it took to reduce them to practice.

UltraPerformance Liquid Chromatography; a Technology Primer, authored by Eric S. Grumbach, Marketing Manager, Chemistry Operations for the Waters Division, Joseph C. Arsenault, Training Manager, Chemistry Operations for the Waters Division, and Douglas R. McCabe, Senior Marketing Manager, Chemistry Operations for the Waters Division, provides a basic understanding of the chromatographic principles on which UPLC Technology is based.
