Jim Kerwin of Oxford Communications Donates $12,500 to the Bermuda Health Foundation Salute to Service Awards Luncheon

ST. GEORGE'S, Bermuda, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Jim Kerwin of Oxford Communications (www.oxfordcommunications.bm), Bermuda's premier advertising agency, donated $12,500 to the Bermuda Health Foundation Salute to Service Awards Luncheon held June 17th at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. This year marked the 7th Annual BHF Salute to Service Awards.

The Bermuda Health Foundation, a Bermuda registered charity, was founded in 2002 by Premier Dr. the Hon. Ewart F. Brown, JP MP, the late Murray Brown, Vincent Hollinsid, and Philip Butterfield. The foundation provides scholarships and opportunities for Bermudian students who wish to pursue a career in the medical field. This year's "Salute to Service" Luncheon was held Wednesday, June 17th at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess and honored Dr. Eugene Harvey for his continual dedication to the medical field and his 30 years of service to the Bermudian community. Winners of the 2009 scholarship are Ashley DaCosta, Attiya Talbot, Natasha Todd and Whitney Matthew.

Jim Kerwin of Oxford Communications stated, "We wish the recipients of the 2009 scholarship award much success with their careers in the medical field. The Bermuda Health Foundation is a wonderful organization and we look forward to working with them in the future."

Bermuda Health Foundation provides scholarships for Bermudian students who are pursuing careers in the medical field. To date, BHF has provided over 15 scholarships to students, totaling more than $190,000.
