The Channel @ Work: Future Tech Leaders Program is designed to make a difference in the lives of people in the community where Everything Channel hosts XChange events. The program will give approximately 20 teens the opportunity to attend XChange '09, participate in Microsoft training and certification courses and network with the Solution Provider community.
Students must be 15-18 years old and have passed the 70-282 Microsoft Small Business Specialists exam to enter the Framsyn Initiative. Additionally, they then must pass a minimum of two exams prior to graduation. Students can also study and test for advanced certifications such as systems administration or engineering. The young men and women that will participate in the Channel @ Work: Future Tech Leaders Initiative are working with local Solution Providers as interns.
"XChange '09 is an excellent opportunity for the Channel community to come together to meet, network and learn," commented
"For the IT industry to continue to innovate and shape the future of our country, we must invest in technology education for our youth," said
Everything Channel XChange '09 is the largest channel event of the year, attracting over 1,000 attendees. The four-day event brings together over 250 qualified Solution Providers and leading industry vendors in diverse technology areas to build business relationships.
