Deep Ocean Safari, an addition to the Wild Earth interactive photo safari series, provides an interactive undersea adventure with lifelike aquatic species representations and compelling ocean literacy messages. Users of the interactive software become submariners and take control of their motion-simulator submersible craft and camera as they capture their own photos of ocean life. Their photos become a personal souvenir in print or online to share with family and friends.
Developed under the expert guidance of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Office of National Marine Sanctuaries (www.Sanctuaries.NOAA.gov), Deep Ocean Safari's visual imagery is a true to life representation of those species found in and around the four sanctuaries off the coast of
Also contributing to the development of Deep Ocean Safari as a subject matter expert and as one of the narrators is Philippe Cousteau, son of Philippe Cousteau Sr. and the grandson of Jacques Cousteau, oceanic preservationists and marine experts. Says Cousteau, "Wild Earth: Deep Ocean Safari is an amazing adventure that leverages new and interactive technologies in relevant ways in order to engage a whole new generation in ocean education. EarthEcho International (www.EarthEcho.org) is proud to work with NOAA National Marine Sanctuaries and The Ride Works on this exciting project that reflects our commitment to fostering extraordinary leaders for ocean conservation."
