Singer Kid Rock's American Badass Beer debuted at his concerts in Detroit this week, organizers said.
This was the first time the musician's American-style lager
was made available to the public, the Detroit Free Press reported Friday.
I'm American, that's what I like to drink, and from looking around the parking lot before my shows, I know that's what my fans drink,
the Free Press quoted Kid Rock as saying.
J. Patrick Kenny, chief operating officer of the beer distributor Drinks Americas, told the newspaper 12-ounce and 22-ounce bottles of the brew will soon be sold in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Nevada, Tennessee and California, and will be made available in stores nationwide next year.
It's a good beer with an awesome name,
Kenny said. When you hear the name American Badass, I don't care what neighborhood you're from, you just smirk.
