No Sleep Records signs twin hip-hop act

The U.S. rock label No Sleep Records says it has signed Double Vision, its first hip-hop act.

The group features twin brothers Johnathan and Jarred Lindsay.

Mackamillion and Mackmore, as they call themselves, have been compared to duos such as Kriss Kross, Camp Lo, Little Brother, Outkast and The Cool Kids, the pair's representatives said.

Double Vision said they address the issues of the common folk, rather than the iced out jewels or drug dealer stories frequently heard in contemporary rap.

We like to set trends for what should and shouldn't be. We're not gangsters, we're more like a funky twist of backpackers and macks, Mackamillion said in a statement.

The duo's debut EP is slated for release later this year. They can be heard at http://myspace.com/doublevisionmackrap.
