The First Art Installation on Antarctica

ANTWERP, Belgium, July 22 /PRNewswire/ — In February 2009 Belgian artist

Wim Tellier went to the South Pole to create the first art installation on
Antarctica. 6 gigantic pictures (800m squared each) of sunbathing elderly
persons were brought together on the coldest place on earth.

The photos weighed 3000kg and were laid out covering a 30.000m squared
snowfield.

Wim Tellier photographed the installation with a DPM in extreme
temperatures reaching -58degrees C.
