Posted on: Wednesday, 22 July 2009, 09:25 CDT

ANTWERP, Belgium, July 22 /PRNewswire/ -- In February 2009 Belgian artist Wim Tellier went to the South Pole to create the first art installation on Antarctica. 6 gigantic pictures (800m squared each) of sunbathing elderly persons were brought together on the coldest place on earth.

The photos weighed 3000kg and were laid out covering a 30.000m squared snowfield.

Wim Tellier photographed the installation with a DPM in extreme temperatures reaching -58degrees C.
