Enterprise Communications Industry Turns to No Jitter for Avaya-Nortel Coverage
WESTMONT, Ill., July 24 /PRNewswire/ — TechWeb’s No Jitter, the leading news, analysis and blogging website for the enterprise communications industry, saw record traffic last week in the wake of Avaya’s announcement that it had reached an agreement to acquire Nortel Enterprise Solutions for $475 million, with the potential to dramatically alter the landscape for enterprise IP-telephony and Unified Communications.
“No Jitter’s daily page views set an all-time record on Monday, July 20, the day the Avaya-Nortel deal was announced,” said Fred Knight, GM and publisher of No Jitter. “That record stood for all of two days, until it was broken on Thursday, July 23, when our No Jitter Weekly newsletter went out to our list of 40,000 subscribers, offering them a summary of the week’s Avaya-Nortel coverage–along with all of the other new content we produced last week.
“Having two record-setting days in one week is a phenomenal achievement for No Jitter, and speaks to the quality and timeliness of the analysis that our readers have come to depend on from No Jitter,” Knight continued.
No Jitter is produced by the same team that presents the industry’s leading conference and exhibition events, the VoiceCon series. Knight serves as program co-chairman of VoiceCon, together with No Jitter editor Eric Krapf. In addition, many of the experts who speak at VoiceCon are also regular contributors to No Jitter.
“We’re very fortunate to have the industry’s leading analysts and consultants on our roster of bloggers,” Krapf said. “Their industry sources and insight, based on years of experience, made our coverage of Avaya-Nortel second to none.”
No Jitter provided coverage of the deal from all angles: Financial, technology, product focus, and market positioning. Over the course of the week, No Jitter posted a dozen items from leading industry analysts Allan Sulkin, Zeus Kerravala, Blair Pleasant, Sheila McGee-Smith, Brian Riggs, and Marty Parker. A complete round-up of the week’s coverage can be found at www.nojitter.com.
