Washington Mutual, Inc. Finds Complete Technology Solution in Seattle Firm
SEATTLE, July 27 /PRNewswire/ — Z7 Networks (http://www.Z7Networks.com), the premiere IT Services firm based in Seattle, WA, continues to successfully manage the direct IT and technology operations for Washington Mutual, Inc. (WMI). In response to the highly publicized mergers and acquisitions that have involved the organization throughout the past year, WMI sought out an outsourced IT company that could effectively manage their technology needs during the transitions and beyond. In 2008, WMI chose Z7 Networks to lead the complete oversight and management efforts for all aspects of IT systems migration and ongoing sustainment within the organization. Z7 Networks redesigned and provisioned all backbone infrastructure resources for the entire WMI data network systems.
“After carefully examining what WMI needed from a technology standpoint, it was clear that we’d be a good fit for them,” explains JP Zarate, Executive IT Consultant at Z7 Networks. “WMI had previously been accustomed to a highly skilled staff of internal employees to manage their systems. To succeed, we needed to provide a more efficient, scalable and fully comprehensive IT solution and do so in an outsourced model.”
“They have always come through for us,” explains Jan Schrag, Senior Vice President of WMI. “Their team helped enable us to do the right thing by providing a balanced perspective. And they’ve always bent over backwards to make us happy.”
“They’re very creative in solutions,” adds Thomas Cronk, Technology Manager for WMI. “Z7 has made the user experience better. They’re part of our team.”
Some other services performed for WMI include IT project management, secure offsite servers located at the Z7 data center, procurement of all hardware, software and network appliances as well as executive level IT forecasting and planning.
“A transition like this is never easy,” says Zarate. “The way we see it, addressing technical issues is just one aspect. What sets us apart and what we pride ourselves on is our creativity and personal approach to the technology. We made a concerted decision to provide the required technology solutions for WMI and moreover, wanted to earn a true relationship with them where they would be comfortable in seeing us as trusted advisors within their team.”
“They’ve gone beyond the contract,” says Schrag. “They behave more like an internal IT group rather than an external group. We have a very good relationship.”
Z7 provides services for various sized companies throughout the West Coast. Recently they have helped the nonprofit Washington CASH develop accelerator offices to expand their organizational operations.
“Z7 harnesses the technical expertise which parallels our creative versatility,” says Zarate. “This is especially important when helping clients whose IT needs range from those as complex as Washington Mutual, Inc. to those of nonprofits similar to Washington CASH. I believe that we make a difference and our clients are stronger with the services we provide.”
