Arrest made in ‘Idol’ contender’s death
A 23-year-old man has been arrested in the death of
American Idol castoff Alexis Cohen, police in New Jersey said Monday.
Cohen, who earned some notoriety for yelling at the judges during her failed auditions for Seasons 7 and 8 of the singing competition series, was struck by a car and killed last weekend in the New Jersey shore town of Seaside Heights. Her body reportedly was discovered by two pedestrians near her car. She was 25.
TMZ said Daniel Bark has been arrested and charged with death by reckless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.
Bark faces a maximum of 15 years in prison, if convicted, the entertainment news Web site noted.
