Physicians' Level of Concern for H1N1 Swine Flu Steadily Increases

FLEMINGTON, N.J., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- A new national study conducted among 670 physicians which measured perceptions regarding the H1N1 swine flu revealed that doctors' level of concern has steadily increased over the past month.

The study was conducted by HCD Research on July 26, to view physicians' perceptions of the H1N1 virus and the potential risk and impact it will have on their lives. Studies will be conducted on a weekly basis which will measure physicians' perceptions regarding their concern, their outlook on the potential risk and their feelings regarding the government's readiness to handle an H1N1 pandemic. The study also revealed that the majority of physician respondents (57%) feel the extensive media coverage with regards to H1N1 is appropriate. 36% of physicians reported that there has been too much media coverage, and 7% of physicians reported that there has not been enough media coverage.
