McCartney still enjoys performing
British singer Paul McCartney says he still enjoys taking the stage in New York, Boston and elsewhere, even after decades of live performances.
The former Beatles star said prior to a recent concert at Citi Field in New York that he and his band mates try to keep their performances fresh by introducing new songs, The Boston Globe reported Sunday.
We always try and look for something we've never played,'' said McCartney, who has a Boston performance scheduled for this week, and there are a couple in the set now this year that I've never played.''
McCartney said he also applies his fresh approach in his recording efforts, including his musical pairings with British producer Youth in which McCartney dons the persona The Fireman.
I do quite like to seesaw techniques so that I don't get bored or feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over, so Fireman was a great relief from that, McCartney told the Globe.
