Spanish King honors Israeli singer
Israeli singer David Broza received Spain’s royal medal of honor for his contribution to Spanish-Israeli relations and promoting tolerance, Israeli media said.
During a concert performance in Tel Aviv to promote his latest album Wednesday evening, a representative of the Spanish Embassy in Israel handed the 53-year-old singer, songwriter a medal from the king.
A statement released by King Juan Carlos 1 said Broza was awarded the country’s Civil Order Medal of Honor, which grants him all the rights and privileges members of the Order are entitled to, Ynetnews.com said.
For 30 years Broza, who was raised in Israel, Spain and England, has performed in concert halls all over the world, playing his guitar and singing in Hebrew, Spanish and English.
