Twiggy celebrates 60th b-day with CD

Twiggy, the British fashion waif who turned to music and acting in New York, is celebrating her 60th birthday with a new CD release, her record label said.

Twiggy, born Lesley Hornsby, sings songs of the '30s, '40s and '50s on the 19-track disc, Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance, Playbill reported Monday.

The CD release is scheduled for Sept. 14 on State Door Records. Her birthday is Sept. 19.

After bursting onto the modeling scene in the 1960s, the former British supermodel tried her luck on Broadway in 1983, when she debuted in My One and Only, opposite Tommy Tune.

Recently she was a judge on America's Next Top Model for seasons five through nine.
