Cyrus to replace Carey in ‘Today’ series
U.S. singer and television star Miley Cyrus has been booked as the final act in the
Today show’s summer concert series in New York, NBC said.
Scheduled for Aug. 28, the performance marks Cyrus’s second live concert on the morning program.
The Cyrus gig is to replace Mariah Carey’s previously announced
Today concert, which has been postponed. NBC said the rescheduled Carey concert will be announced at a later date. No reason for the postponement was offered.
The roster of the 2009
Toyota Concert Series on Today also included No Doubt, Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, Dave Matthews Band, the Black Eyed Peas, Rascall Flatts and Kings of Leon.
