Bryan Singer eyeing ‘Excalibur’ remake

Hollywood filmmaker Bryan Singer is developing a remake of the classic King Arthur picture Excalibur
for Warner Bros., Variety reported.
Singer’s films include The Usual Suspects,
X-Men,
Superman Returns
and Valkyrie.
He is producing and may also direct the remake of Excalibur,
the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.
The original 1981 film adaptation of Thomas Malory’s book was directed by John Boorman and starred Helen Mirren, Liam Neeson, Gabriel Byrne, Patrick Stewart and Ciaran Hinds.
