USA TODAY To Publish Kennedy Commemorative Publications

Tabloid-Sized Special Edition and 128-Page Book Pay Tribute to Senator Edward M. Kennedy

A 40-page tabloid sized special edition titled "Kennedy: An American Icon, A Family's Legacy" ($4.95) will be available on newsstands August 28 to September 28. Featuring USA TODAY's authoritative voice, distinctive design and packaging, this special edition provides an in-depth look at the legacy of the Kennedy family and its impact on American history. With Sen. Edward Kennedy's death, the family's last towering public figure is gone. But the Kennedy legacy is woven through American life in ways that will never disappear. This special tribute looks at the life of the Massachusetts senator whose political career spanned five decades. The special edition includes appreciations from those who knew him best, the Kennedy family tree, and excerpts of memorable Edward Kennedy speeches.

A 128-page book titled "Ted Kennedy: An American Icon" ($14.95) will be in bookstores on September 3. The book features some of the best USA TODAY coverage of Edward Kennedy and the Kennedy family over the years and reproduces some of Kennedy's most famous speeches. It also includes exclusive USA TODAY photos as well as archival photos of the Kennedy clan including Edward, Robert and John. The book will be published by Triumph Books.
