Jimmy Martin estate mired in legal battle

The four children of Jimmy Martin are at odds over how the late U.S. bluegrass musician's estate should be divided, Martin's son Ray says.
Ray Martin said despite a last will and testament plea by his father that his children not fight over his estate, he and his three siblings remain opposed over who will have control over the estate of the so-called King of Bluegrass, The (Nashville) Tennessean said Sunday.
This is not what my dad worked all his life for,
Ray Martin said of the fight over the $2 million estate.
Jimmy Martin died on May 14, 2005, but not before he made an addendum to his will that made his son Lee Buddy
Martin and two music business friends into co-executors of his estate.
Martin's siblings have disputed having a person outside their family decide how the bluegrass singer's estate will be divided, despite the fact all will receive a portion along with Martin's ex-wife and all their children.
The Tennessean said a hearing was held last week regarding the estate dispute and a judge is expected to offer a ruling on the matter this fall.
