Double Fusion Strengthens Senior Management Team

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ — Double Fusion (http://www.doublefusion.com) today announced that it has named Derek J. Rudd as senior vice president, advertising sales for North American and European markets. In this position, Rudd is responsible for overseeing and managing advertising sales efforts for those regions, based out of the company’s New York sales headquarters. This appointment reinforces Double Fusion’s continued commitment to providing brands around the world with the most comprehensive video game advertising solutions.

Rudd brings a wealth of experience to Double Fusion as a consumer sales and video game industry veteran with more than a decade of experience in advertising sales and sales management. Having spent seven years at IGN Entertainment, a unit of Fox Interactive Media, Inc., Rudd was instrumental with his efforts to bring the company to profitability. While at IGN, which today is one of the top video game and entertainment resources, he led a sales team of more than 20 professionals who focused on consumer advertising sales to reach the (18-34 year old) young adult market, and grew the unit’s revenues more than tenfold.

Following his tenure at IGN, Rudd has held senior sales positions in the digital media sector including: SocialMedia Networks where he served as senior director, agency relationships, responsible for developing the company’s East Coast region sale presence, successfully increasing pipeline activity in that region by 400 percent; Crave Online, where he served as vice president of consumer ad sales; and Piczo.com where he was responsible for driving all advertising sales across North America.
